Welcome to Racing at York 2009
World famous racing festivals in both May and August have been joined by established summer highlights as well as relaxed summer racedays that will host live music concerts starring top tribute bands, and October sees a return to a weekend meeting.
York Racecourse is an award winning venue which has seen further development over the winter. The £2.5million investment will be partially used to address waterlogging of the racetrack, ensuring that abandonment of meetings is not an option this year.
The season kicks off with the May Festival, a three day meeting from 13th to 15th May, followed by the Spring Meeting on 30th May. June will see the 39th Timeform Charity Meeting with a Friday and Saturday packed with exciting races. In July there are two options, the John Smith’s Cup Meeting on the 10th and 11th or the Music Showcase Weekend on Friday 24th (evening) and Saturday 25th. Ebor is in August (see our Ebor Festival for details) followed by the return of an October weekend featuring the October Finale Stakes and The Sprint Trophy.
To join in the excitement, please have a look at our hospitality packages below to help you choose your day and facility.
We look forward to welcoming you to York Racecourse during the 2009 season.
